A cowboy hat should sit level on your head, about a finger's width above your eyebrows and ears, without squeezing or sliding around. Here is how to find your size.
How to measure
- Use a soft tape measure.
- Wrap it around your head where the hat will sit: across your forehead, just above your ears, and around the back.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight, and read the measurement in inches or centimeters.

Between sizes?
Go up to the larger size. A slightly loose hat can be snugged up with hat sizing tape, but a tight hat will be uncomfortable all day.
Head shape
Some heads are longer front to back (long oval) and some are rounder. If a hat in your size presses on your forehead and the back of your head, try a different brand or style.
